And the fun continues .. off to the subway train station.  A long long ride to the science museum.   Here's the opening as we emerged :

and the sight of this M O N S T E R complex :

The planetarium, astronomical observatory, Space World, Dinosaur History Park, wind power generator, and Insectarium are behind the main exhibit halls building.   The place is H U G E  !!    Inside there are six major permanent exhibit halls.    There were many many school field trip groups.   The decibel level was high!    From pre-school to high school.    Here's a few pictures :

time for lunch .. as we and 2,000 kids headed into the cafeteria ..

Then it was outside to see more exhibits.

Over to the Insectarium.   Margaret almost blended in with this pre-school group, as shrieks and screams emanated from touching mealy bugs :

Jeanette captured this sight on the way out

It was about 94 outside, hot and muggy, and we were ready to take the long subway train ride home.   When we emerged at our stop there was an arts fair going on.   A traditional percussion band was performing.

Jeanette and Cameron had some fun with an exhibit at the street fair :

Jon and Salli came over to pick us up for dinner.   We walked into night-friendly Itaewon and found a 'ramen' noodle restaurant.    Delicious!

Then it was a re-visit to the flagship Line Friends store to get some souvenirs and a photo to send back for LO's game against Jesuit on Friday night.

Look at these proud Laker Lacrosse Alums !

I'm babysitting tonight as .. Jeanette & Matt  and  Salli & Jon have a night out.
They'll also be planning our activities for tomorrow, Saturday.    Another action-packed and fun day!

  1. I see why you wear tee shirts since you are so proud and loved by your family that the buttons would pop right off. So glad to be a part of the adventure.
